Today I would like to talk about the project team.

We have already talked about the goals of the project, the project manager and the stakeholders of the project.

project teamHowever, a project manager alone is unable to implement a project; it requires a team.

And we are in front of the PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM, those people who, together with the Project Manager, work on the operational management of the implementation of the project.

That project manager has to provide the following three points: 1) Who is necessary for the implementation of the project?

2) What functions are included?

3) How can I know whose fake?

This is primarily due to the importance of professional competencies and specialties. So, as team members, they are first and foremost people with their own special values, goals and character.

Most often, great companies simply assign a project to a project and the project manager has to work with the stock of equipment assigned to the project. Or, vikorystvuyu your knowledge, skills, connections to transfer “power resources” to the need to see other participants in the project.

The point here is that the project manager will need more of these skills that we talked about earlier.

The functions that are determined depend on the specifics of the project, its goals, assignment and maintenance, as well as the competence of a particular participant.

The main task of the project manager at the team formation stage is to create a team that would help him effectively implement the project.

The main goal of the team is the implementation of the project and the achievement of its goals.

What affects the effectiveness of the project team?

1) Number of team members 2) Clarity and consistency of goals 3) Clear and reasonable division of functions and assignments What type of management team is it? There may be different options in the project, however, based on the results, the most comfortable for all team members and team managers is the number 7+-2. tobto. team from 5 to 9 osib.

Teams of great size can be as small as the Group’s mission;
Pressure on team members;
“Vidsijuvannya chas” by the active participants.
Small teams can be unstable until one of the team members is lost and there is a risk of them breaking up.

If there is a question of clarity and usefulness of goals, then I would define THREE levels of goals that would ideally fit together: 1) Enterprise goals;

2) Goals of the project/team;

3) Particular goals of the participants.

And since all three categories of service are used one after the other, the likelihood of success for the project increases significantly. Whenever there is a diversity of goals, the risk of the project not achieving its goals increases.

This is part of the project manager’s respect for the project, which cannot be overlooked, because the project manager himself is responsible for achieving the goals, or he may need to hire a specialist (HR, coach, consultant…) who will help achieve this goal for the project manager.

What is needed is an effective and reasonable division of roles in all directions, then one of the tools is the RASCI diagram, which I talked about last time. And this is entirely sufficient for the project team members to clearly understand who is responsible for what, who should be helped with other tasks, and who needs to be informed about this .

The key indicators of an effective team are: 1) Clear goals and objectives within the team;

2) Understanding the mutual dependence of all team members;

3) Zhurtovanie;

4) Dovira;

5) Potential possibilities of the development of the Synergy of teamwork.

Thus, the PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM is the KEY element of the entire project and lacks respect for this part of the project management to transfer the project from an unstable point of view to a critical part of the process.

Finally, if you would like to recap, enjoy a short video of what you can find on the Internet about the power of a team and tell YOU: Effective and well-organized teams and successful projects!!!
